Yo dawg! heard you lookin’ to vote on an Abachi governance proposal on Snapshot?

It couldn’t be more simple. Here’s what you need:

  1. A browser wallet extension like Metamask, Coinbase, Portis etc. You can also use WalletConnect compatible wallets like TrustWallet, Crypto.com DeFi Wallet, MathWallet or a Gnosis Multisig wallet.
  2. Some ABI, sABI, pABI or gABI in that browser wallet.
  3. An Abachi proposal you have a strong opinion on.

Got ’em all? Good. Let’s go!

Head on over to our official Snapshot page at https://snapshot.org/#/abachi.eth/ and find the proposal you wish to vote on. The proposal must be Active in order to be voted on.

Click on the active proposal you wish to vote on. It will show you the details of what the proposal is, as well as the current voting results so far on the right hand side.

You can also see other details like which tokens are allowed to vote, when the proposal closes, etc.

Click on the Connect Wallet button on top right and choose the one that has your ABI family tokens in it.

IMPORTANT: If your tokens are on a hardware wallet-connected account (like Ledger or Trezor) it’s time to connect it to your computer, unlock it and open the Polygon app on your H/W wallet.

On the Snapshot page, select the option that you wish to cast your vote as, and click Vote. A pop-up will ask you if you’re sure, click Vote again. Your wallet will prompt you to sign this action. Click Sign.

If you’re using a regular browser wallet, that should be it. If you’re using a H/W wallet, it will show a prompt on the device to sign the message. Review the information and click Sign/Confirm/whatever approval command it shows on its screen.

And that’s it! There’s no gas involved so you don’t need to worry about your MATIC balance. You should now see your wallet listed in the Votes section showing your chosen answer.

The process is identical on a mobile device, except that you need to use the built-in web3 browser of Metamask, Trustwallet etc. for a smoother experience.

As always, if there’s any queries, please hit up our mods in the Discord and they should help you sort it out. Happy voting!
